High-Score Strategies
- 1.Study the sectional aeronautical chart legend thoroughly — 15–20% of questions involve chart reading.
- 2.Memorize airspace classes A–G: ceilings, floors, equipment requirements, and speed limits.
- 3.METAR reading: practice translating a full METAR into plain English every day for a week.
- 4.Use Sporty's free Part 107 study course online — it's comprehensive and free.
- 5.Tony Northrup's Part 107 Drone Pilot Ground School on YouTube is the most popular free resource.
- 6.Take at least 3 full practice tests (60 questions, timed) before exam day — the chart questions take time.
