Key Vocabulary

助詞 (joshi)

Japanese particles (γ―γ€γŒγ€γ‚’γ€γ« etc.) that mark grammatical roles β€” tested heavily at every level.

敬θͺž (keigo)

Honorific/polite speech β€” N2 and N1 test formal register distinctions.

ζŽ₯碚詞 (setsuzokushi)

Connectors/conjunctions β€” however (しかし), therefore (γ—γŸγŒγ£γ¦), on the other hand (δΈ€ζ–Ή).

N2 kanji

Approximately 1,000 kanji required at N2 level (cumulative from N5–N2).
