Study Tips

  • 1.Download all official past TOPIK exams from topik.go.kr โ€” they are free and the most accurate practice.
  • 2.Writing: master essay structure and formal connectors. A well-structured essay at Level 4 scores better than a complex but disorganized one.
  • 3.Vocabulary: study Sino-Korean (ํ•œ์ž์–ด) word roots โ€” they account for ~60% of written Korean vocabulary.
  • 4.Listening: watch Korean news (KBS News 9) and dramas at natural speed without subtitles.
  • 5.Grammar: Korean Grammar in Use (Intermediate and Advanced) covers TOPIK 3โ€“6 grammar patterns.
  • 6.Set a word count target when writing essays โ€” stopping at 600 words is a common mistake.
